  • I just read recently some interesting facts about Bloomington-Normal according to Bill Flick from the Pantagraph. In the 1970's there were two stores in B-N one store being real intriguing to go to which is where the schnucks grocery store is today on Veterans Parkway and the store in fact was called ''Zaires'' which I heard from somebody one of the things they sold there was video game equipment. Zaires was probably a pretty decent size store near the size of Walmart but probably not quite that big. The other store I didn't know about not mention didn't even know there was even one of these stores in Bloomington ever was a A&P Company Grocery store which was located on the north side of Eastland Mall. So I thought I would share some interesting Bloomington-Normal Facts for ya here and in fact the funny thing about mentioning Bill Flick on here was that I was traveling on a bus down Washington St. by the Pantagraph Building and actually heard this guy say on the back of the bus ''Hey there's Bill Flick walking right there'' !!! So I was amused to see em like I did.

  • Just a crazy week it has been knowing that Thanksgiving came up on me real fast. I had to take a Greyhound bus trip from Bloomington,IL to Birmingham, Alabama with stops along the way and it was a long one but honestly it was a time for me to reflect on the wonderful glory that the Lord has given to me through my family not to mention just the amazing things that our Lord does in and through our lives. So I thought about that a lot throughout the whole bus trip down to Alabama and I really want to make my desires focus on relationships just not for the Holiday Traditions and that is why I tend to not be as exited for Holiday Traditions then I am for sharing Gods Glory, life, testimonies, pain, struggles w/ people. This topic of relationship dawn on me during one certain situation I had with someone at one of the bus terminals and it occur when I was standing outside shortly before everyone had to board onto the bus that was about to be moving towards my destination and the guy that I was standing next to asked me if I was interested in buying some jewelry and I immediately told him no, then he said that he was $10.00 short of getting a bus ticket then I realized that right after I told him no that I was buying any jewelry from him I realized that I had exactly $10.00 in my wallet and here this guy was trying to give something of the best value that he had just to get something of lesser value which was the bus ticket and this whole situation brought a testimony in my life by teaching me that in life whether we want to believe it or not we need to give up more valuable things of ours just for someone else to have joy when we could of just had the same joy by having what was most valuable to us at that certain time that we then at that time gave to someone in need I mean that is ministry and that's what God loves about his believers and FOLLWERS on Earth and that is what I am trying to plant into my spirit this Holiday Season of 2008, just remembering that testimony on my trip to Alabama.

  • I had a very good and well organized Sunday yesterday and I started it off by going to church around 11:00a.m. then alot of people from my church were headed over to Rollingbrook Park to have a cookout. So I decided to induldge myself into going as well ! We played this leisure game called bags which is the game where you toss like four bags into a hole drilled into a board for those of you who have never heard of the game before. So I stay out at the park for about two maybe two and a half hours then me and a guy Sam whom I've met before numorous times drove me around to this other guys house named Zach who is also another Clearview Church Attender and Sam and I ended up staying there for a good hour. Then right before fuel started Sam wanted to go to Coffee Nation which is off of G.E. Road in Bloomington so we did  and once I got there with him I saw one of my good and never forgotten about friends that I had back in the good old Junior High Days. He explain to me that he is moving down to Costa Rica to live there coming up here fairly soon so I just thought to myself Wow God must of really turned things around for him to do something like move to Costa Rica. As we were conversing he invited me to come down to Costa Rica and Visited him which I couldn't turn down that kinda invitation just because I've never been outside the United States.

  • I am in deed back here on xanga everyone and glad to be back too. I call up my mom who lives down south in Alabama and she told me that her ex-boyfriend that she dated back in college has cancer in his mouth and she thinks that it was caused by him smoking but is not sure. So that was something that really humble me into prayer throughout the past week or so. Cancer in the mouth is kind of an unusual spot to have cancer I suppose but then again I don't know much about cancer and where it is most likely to be and all of that stuff but anyhow I just thought  I'd share that with you all. Another cool thing that God did with me and another great friend of mine was that last Sunday night right before I went to Fuel which is a young adult ministry I go to once a week, I ended up getting into a powerful conversation with my friend that the Lords spirit lead us into about suffering. So we started to talk back and forth about how Satan sometimes lies at us by saying during the times of our suffering that ''you are the only one who is going through this right now...''there is no hope in your suffering right now''. So we went on in this conversation and it work out that the message that was brought to everyone at Fuel was exactly about Suffering. So like a day later I was just in awe of how God does something like that in the perfect timing after you and a brother or sister in Christ were just focusing on that such topic, in that case it was suffering. So like throughout the past day or so I have just been giving God my thanks about what he had did during that time. Some other things that I will be doing coming up in early July is that I will be spending some time in Tennessee and in Atlanta, Georgia for a total of three days. In Tennessee I will be going to a historical site with my mom which is suppose to be real impressive then after that I am going to an Atlanta Braves Baseball game also with my mom. Anyway, I hope all my xanga friends whom I have known for awhile are doing forever well and you know who you are !!!!!

  • Last night went awesome !! I ended up getting invited to go over to some people house from Fuel to watch WrestleMania. My friend and I stay over there till after midnight. Wrestlemania is like the superbowl of all professional wrestling. If you haven't seen Wrestlemania I would view it some year. This years wrestlemania feature Ric Flair who ended up retiring after his final match which took place last night during wrestlemania I mean I never saw so many depressed wrestling fans ever. Even if your not one of the more pro wrestling followers you gotta feel some pity for Ric Flair I mean even I do and that says alot cause I grew up barely even knowing wrestling.

Then after some cool wrestlingmania, everybody played some Halo on the xbox for like an hour or so. So the night could not of went any better !!

About Me

  • I'm about 21 years old and love to read about sports, learning how to dance, Bowl in leagues, and I have a strong interest in traveling to historical sites. I've always been involved with churches currently I go to Eastview Christian Church in Normal,IL where I am involved with various sports ministries, occasional Mission trips(I'm about to go on a mission trip to Arizona in June of 05 with a young Adult Ministry involved at Eastview called ''Fuel''. Also, I'm on one of the Softball teams involved with Eastviews sports ministry this summer. My friend Jerrad Kinsella(Jdiddy) is on my softball as well this summer. Recently, Jerrad and I were involved with the Wiffleball league that happen earlier this year. Jerrad was the captin of my team. It was amazing because my wiffleball team went 0-7 during the regular season and ended up winning the tournament at the end of the league. Everyone on my team got a trophy, it was awesome!
